Soil fungus

Some of sort of fungus has attacked. It's growing on the surface like eggs, with tindrilly, moldy roots growing 1 inch down. I suspect it's from mixing in the mulch when I turned the soil.

I dug up patches of it all over the garden. But it might take something more.

  1. This same fungus is growing in my garden too. Can you please tell me what you used to eradicate the fungus? I've had to remove several marigold and leeks that were overgrown by the fungus. Thanks!

  2. Fungus especially mushrooms is a good sign of rich organic soil that is alive. They're completely harmless and good to have as they share a symbiotic relationship with your plants by attaching their mycelium to your plants roots and giving your plants nutrients.
